Continuing about my cca stuff... where was i? oh, infocomn, strings, concert band, st john and netball. so i guess i finished my cca stuff already.

Moving on, i thought of a bunch of other stuff to write about so i shall list them here:
-Lifeskills camp
-Lessons and homework
-anime!!!

Lifeskills camp was super fun!!!! it was a 2 days day camp plus a three day two night camp but for me it was a two day one night camp since i had to leave on the second night coz i have violin exam the next day. I missed the prize presentation ceremony aw man!

First two days were just some workshops and stuff, though it was quite fun and interesting.

Argh, i dun remember everything that happened on those two days but i do remember the character workshop.

it was something about like finding our character or something like tht. they said there were four kinds of characters:
chili-leader, temperamental, etc. etc.
fishball- vry happy and loud and stuff
bittergourd- pessimistic (i remember the least traits sorry!)
bee hoon- like kind, caring, a bit quiet. (i guess something like a peacelover)

thn we were supposed to paste a piece of paper on our back and let others write our character traits. i was a 'bee hoon' -.- i guess thts the impression i give to my class 109.

Woo hoo, now its the residential camp...

First day, had some fun and games erm for team building ders. settling down in our residence-our classroom argh. oh ya, we had to clean it with buckets of water, a mop and some pieces of cloth. thn we had a cheering competition after a timed race to complete stations around the school. and mascot and flag making. i wish i had a pic of our mascot and flag. thts about all.

Second day, the most exciting day ever!!! First thing in the morning, nan zhong quan. OMG... we were supposed to do nan zhong quan before breakfast D: ! nan zhong quan and nanyang girls' high's original quan shu. we had to go like 'ha!' and our sec two seniors were louder than us xD. After breakfast we went to safra mount faber!! So fun!! there was this amazing race which was real amazing coz we were supposed to climb to the top of mount faber. i felt like i was climbing the great wall of china coz there were just endless steps with big gaps!

Still about second day though i created a new paragraph to put an emphasis on this: TALENTIME!

It was a performance all sec 1s had to put up. at the same time, it was also a competition between classes to see which class is the best.
Our class was doing this triple thing. Coz, u noe we are a music class, so we had three different groups for this performance: Dancers, Singers, Musicians(two violins, one dizi, one guitar, one piano, two cello)

i was a SINGER! can u believe it? i cant sing, to speak the truth. Okay whatever. thn we performed this song called gift of a friend by demi levato. it was so touching! LOL!! the musicians in our class are real pro lor! they listened to the song and wrote out the song sheet! Amazing rite? we performed without a cd or com! i loved it!

We got first but technically third coz our marks were slightly lower but the teachers said it was real hard to choose the first. ah nvm just take it as we are 3rd.

Sorry but i would end here coz i am gonna write other stuff in my next post otherwise i would have nothing to write.

ok i checked my blog and realised it was super dead. Latest post: 2009 -.-

SO, i've decided to revive my blog with this post-an update of my secondary school life.
So excited! Loads of things to say!
1)Class
2)CCA
3)etc. etc.

Nanyang Girls' High is sooo fun!! This is already near the end of term two, so sabbaticals! But i wont talk about tht until later. Hoots, we finished exam already. Our papers are separated throughout the whole term for term two so we have more time to revise, but i think i didnt make good use of the time...

Class: 109!
Yay! We rock! Higher Music class! though half of the class is not in higher music just like me, most of us have musical background. i think at least 3/4 of the class can play piano. all of them are sooo amazing. pro sia.
when i asked what grade they were, it was like...
grade 5
grade 6
grade7
grade 8
grade 9 for chinese instru
aw man, and im only grade 4 in violin currently. (at the start of the year i wuz only grade 2)
Putting that aside, everyone is super nice and kind. we have loads of laughs in our class. rumors has it tht we are one of the more obedient classes in the whole lvl, tht i m not sure. normally we already make quite alot of noise, but i guess other classes are just more crazy thn us.

CCA: String Ensemble
NYSE a.k.a Nanyang String Ensemble we are proud to be tangled in strings...
They are so cool and pro! thts why i joined them. and partly coz i like the violin lol.
wah, cca chosing was damn tough. have to get through loads of audition.
lets see what cca auditions i went for...
strings (i know its very lame coz its the cca i got into)
concert band
infocomn
st. johns ambulance brigade (mus put one uniform group, lucky dun nid audition)
actually i wanted to go for netball also, but i forgot....
strings i was supposed to play 2 songs on the violin, thn they would immediately tell me whether i got in. all those with musical background got in i think
concert band. have to clap to the rythm and then sing the note and try to hit the pitch. i went like lalalala. lol. i told the teacher strings was my first choice thn he said if i dun get into strings i could consider concert band. actually at one point i wanted to join band but my mom said i was already learning the violin so...
infocomn. i feel like an idiot. first test was handwritten, it was a quiz. thn i qualified, so there was a second test, an interview. i can still remember:
teacher: wat is ur primary school cca?
me: chess club
teacher: wat are ur choices for cca?
me: 1st, strings. 2nd, concert band. 3rd, netball. 4th, infocomn. 5th, st john.
teacher: do you have any 'skills' in computer?
me: not really.
teacher: did ur primary school have infocomn?
me: yes.
teacher: have you attended any workshops before?
me: no
teachers: ok, you may go.
obviously i wouldnt get into infocomn lah, even if i put it as first choice.
